An emoticon request

Featured Replies

I know, not terribly important!  But I really don't like what IPS does with what used to be my favorite one ->    ;)

That's a semicolon and right paren, shows a nice friendly half smile back on SMF.  It's my feeble attempt to smile, in a friendly way, maybe in a half joking way.  But here in IPS, it just looks wacko!   I have enough trouble trying to appear as normal as you guys!  And unfortunately, I've used it in many many places, where I now look ... crazed?  Mental?  Not sure what that look is supposed to be ...

I noticed that the emoticon selections include some that you have converted for our use.  Would it be possible to bring over the original SMF face, and replace the IPS face?  I'd really appreciate it!  And I suspect others may too.

;)

And thank you very much!   ;)

Just one problem though, both the IPS and the SMF are showing semicolon and right paren, and the IPS one is still showing in my first post, so I suspect all of the rest of mine are still the wacko kind?

Unfortunately there's no way to (re)convert the wacko version in prior forum posts to the non-wacko version that I just changed it to.  :'(

Normal is a very boring sad place to be in. NEVER be normal, life's too short. ;D

Thank you anyway.  I suppose I'm going to have to get used to being thought wacko in SMF days, but now I'm better!

@RobJ The first step is to acknowledge your mental state ;)

It's always good to hear from the voice of experience!   ;)

I might as well accept it, too much work being normal!  You earthlings are too hard to emulate!
