WebGUI becomes unresponsive after MTU change to Jump Frames

Hello, I was looking through for topics related to this and came across a few. I was wondering if anyone has figured out why, when changing the MTU to 9000 that the webgui seems to not respond any more? I can putty in to the system and change it from 9000 to 1462 and instantly get the webgui back, but I'm not sure why changing it to jumbo frames would kill it.

 

Any ideas? Any thoughts on why this happens or how to fix it?
