flimflamman
Just bought a new drive to replace a failed disk. It's been working ok the past couple days. Today I got a message about a read disk error. I've attached the logs. Not sure really what my next step should be. Thanks for any help! marks_media-diagnostics-20170228-1304.zip Link to comment
JorgeB
That's an uncorrectable error on disk9, definitely a disk problem, but not necessarily bad sectors, run an extended SMART test, if it passes I would give it a second chance but not a third. Link to comment
flimflamman
9 or 8? I no longer have a disk 9. Disk 8 is the new drive that I thought had the error Link to comment
JorgeB
Sorry, yes, disk8, I also assume this is not the new disk based on the power on hours. Link to comment
flimflamman
Ugh oh - this is the new disk - I just got it a few days ago... ordered it from amazon . I don't know much about hard drive data but I did notice the power on hours and thought it was a bit strange Link to comment
JorgeB
62000 power on hours very far from new, I'd request a replacement. Link to comment
