Urbackup support in VM

I am currently running a urbackup server totally seperate from unraid. Love the software and hoping to implement it in unraid. 

 

I understand and that there was a docker for urbackup but it had problems with the software modifying the docker.img file. 

 

I am worndering if if anyone is successfully running urbackup from a VM and storing the backups on the array. 

 

Also, any hiccups experience along the way? Which OS would you recommend for the VM as urbackup can run on Linux and windows.
