March 2, 20179 yr Just a silly question about purpose of IT mode I heard many flashed raid card to IT mode. Should I do so if I will plan to buy RES2SV240NC to gain 24 SATA slot? Also does Dell H310 a better choice for my situation?

March 2, 20179 yr The expander is transparent, with or without it, to work with unRAID most controllers need to be in IT mode.

March 7, 20179 yr Please have a look at this wiki entry. There is some basic info. A list of controllers known working with unRAID is here. The SAS2008 based controllers are doing well with unRAID. e.g. IBM M1015, M1115, Dell H310, H200, FSC D2607 Availabilities are depending on you location. .
March 10, 20179 yr Author Thanks all! I studies several day and knew we have to flash the raid card (e.g. H310) for unraid. But I cannot find any information of SAS expander flashed to IT mode, should I flash this as well?
