Bridge vs Host Question

I installed sonaar and it did not work at first, but I changed it from host to bridge and everything looks to be working fine. I am able to get to the web ui just fine. When I ran fix common problems it gave me an error and says I should be using Host rather Bridge. Is this true or is Bridge okay to use?
