I have tried installing the Plex Media Server from several of the authors in the Community Applications, but when I run the WebGUI, in the top left-hand corner I get the message:

 

Looking for servers ...

 

A server could not be found. Download and install Plex Media Server, and it will appear here.

 

 

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Impossible to say, you need to pick a version and post in the support thread for that version.  Also when you do so, post your docker run command, link in my sig.

Great, I'll keep an eye out....

I can't remember the exact circumstances but when I tried out Plex, it took quite a while to initialise. Not sure if it's related to the amount of media you have or if it just takes some time, full stop. Basically I'm saying, start up Plex, make a cup of tea, read a book, and hopefully next time you check there'll be a Plex server waiting for you to set up. 

Are you signed into your account in the top right corner?
