cemaranet
Sorry if this has been asked before.. i'm looking for a solution that's similar to multiseat but utilizes VM's instead of workstations. So is it possible to host multiple VM's from single GPU? Is there any future plans to add this feature if it's not currently possible? I plan to connect a single GPU to multiple monitors, just like multiseat setup Edited March 5, 2017 by cemaranet Quote Link to comment
1812
multiple vm's can use a single GPU, but not at the same time. Quote Link to comment
itimpi
KVM does not allow a single GPU to be split between multiple concurrently running VMs. I have also seen no indication that this is a feature that is likely to appear in the future. I think you will have to look at a different way of achieving what you want. Perhaps you should be looking at cheap thin clients (e.g. Something like a Raspberry Pi) attached to each monitor and these using RDP to access a central server? This would also give each monitor its own keyboard/mouse - not sure if you want this? Quote Link to comment
cemaranet
Im currently testing aster multiseat. But it has tons of bugs.. or rather some of them are just windows / gpu driver limitation i think.. For small scale and non business use it serves well.. but for large scale vm is better..
