UnRaid Not freeing Data from Array EVER!

Featured Replies

Hi

I need some help I have looked on forums and goggled about but nothing, I have just deleted 488.48GB from a Share folder on my Array yet the free and used space has not altered. I have noticed the past 3 months when deleting large folders I am not gaining free space. I have a 8TB that says its now 5.90TB used but I feel there should only be unto 2TB on it so something is clearly not working right. I have MC and checked the folder on each drive and the data has gone the folder is empty so why am I not showing free space? I have re booted the server and still nothing?

I firmly believe I have over 3TB of free space that is not showing after deleting stuff

please Help

Thanks in Advance

Syslog is just after a reboot with no activity so can't really tell anything. If you are having problems you should always try to get a diagnostic before rebooting.

Can you access all your shares OK over the network?

Yes unfortunately I never too a log before rebooting as its not a major issue, Yes all works fine bar when I delete stuff I have encoded it doesn't free up space.

so I encode Blurays on a Dell R710 then copy the m4v onto my UnRaid from the Dell into a folder Plex, Tv Shows, Movies etc.

I then have another folder called Sync that I put the same media it and its synced to another server over the net to Australia once Sync has completed I delete the stuff from Sync folder as I have it in the Plex folder on this UnRaid and I have the copy on my other server In Australia. So today sync had finished the upload after 2 days so I deleted the folders in the sync folder but the 433GB I deleted is Not showing as Free space. I would say at least 3TB of the used space on the 8TB has been deleted it should have approx 2TB on

Hope I have explained this ok

Cheers
