Strange Email from unraid Server

Featured Replies

I have been getting some emails for a few days from my unraid server.    it goes like this.

to: root

bcc: (my email address)

Subject: /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/scripts/monitor &> /dev/null

Body:

/bin/sh: line 1: 31942 Segmentation fault      /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix/scripts/monitor &> /dev/null

i have no idea why this is getting sent from my server.

can someone shed some light on it.

Can you please grab your diagnostics zip file and post it please.

- either grab the file via the GUI by going to tools>diagnostics and download the zip file.

- type diagnostics from the command line and get the zip file it saves from the unRAID flash drive.

I have had / seen this before. Specifically (if I remember correctly) it was a bad stick of memory. But I've also seen dockers appear to cause seg faults too.

Once you have grabbed and posted your diagnostics (and not before) and if you have the time and don't mind the downtime while we help you diagnose - do a clean shutdown and test your memory using memtest (available from the initial unRAID boot menu) and leave it overnight.
