March 8, 20179 yr I can still SSH, browse shares, and use the dockers (like plex). Webui has been down for quite a while.. Not sure what to do. Is it possible to check how the preclear is doing VIA SSH if the preclear was started VIA the plugin?
March 8, 20179 yr Interesting question - re checking status of preclears started from the plugin. I'm guessing if the plugin uses "screen" you could attatch yourself to that session and see what is going on. But I really don't know. Probably better to post that in the dedicated plugin support thread. However, I'm inclined to advise you to just "wait it out". Preclears can last a LONG time. This can of course depend on the spec of the disk and the number of cycles and which script you're using. For example my 8TB disks (on 3 cycles took DAYS). I have also seen DOA disks in a preclear have an impact on unRAID system similar to what you're describing. Truth is ... it's hard to know without more information. Can you please grab your diagnostics zip file and post it please. As you can't access the GUI (if you feel comfortable) type diagnostics from the command line and get the zip file it saves from the unRAID flash drive. If that's not possible, some information about the operation would be helpful. unRAID version, plugin version, script version, disk size, parameters set for the clear etc ..
March 8, 20179 yr Author It was about 85% into Step 2 of 5 - Zeroing the disk: I updated the sonnarr docker and it failed (First time ive ever had a docker update fail).. Ever since then the webgui is gonzo but everything works other than sonarr. Does typing diagnostics from the command line take a long time normally? Because it is.Just sitting there at starting diagnostics collection.. EDIT: is there a way to clean shutdown VIA SSH so i can avoid a parity check. And is shutting down safe to do while a preclear may or may not be running? EDIT: unRAID 6.3.2. preclear plugin was up to date so whatever that version is. 5TB disc. Options were all default set for 1 cycle. EDIT: I can see the preclear script running in htop but its not using any cpu. I tried screen -r and i dont think it is installed. March 8, 20179 yr I replied to a post from another user who had VERY similar symptoms to you! It "might" be an issue with the plugin. I referred the user to the plugin support thread. Glad things are better! ? Edited March 8, 20179 yr by danioj
