March 9, 20179 yr Hello guys! I created a VM with Windows 10 passthrough the GTX 960 as "VM-Game"! The problem I found is that it does not work my Logitech USB keyboard, of course, I selected "USB> Logitech Keyboard ....." but it does not work, light up the keys .. The strange thing is that the mouse logitech usb works fine! How can I fix? I can not use Windows without keyboard .. this is the system log: ErrorWarningSystemArrayLogin Mar 9 15:21:53 Tower kernel: hid-generic 0003:046D:C318.0020: input,hiddev0,hidraw3: USB HID v1.11 Device [Logitech Logitech Illuminated Keyboard] on usb-0000:00:14.0-7/input1 Mar 9 15:21:55 Tower kernel: vgaarb: device changed decodes: PCI:0000:04:00.0,olddecodes=io+mem,decodes=io+mem:owns=none Mar 9 15:22:03 Tower kernel: vgaarb: device changed decodes: PCI:0000:04:00.0,olddecodes=io+mem,decodes=io+mem:owns=none Mar 9 15:22:03 Tower kernel: br0: port 2(vnet0) entered blocking state Mar 9 15:22:03 Tower kernel: br0: port 2(vnet0) entered disabled state Mar 9 15:22:03 Tower kernel: device vnet0 entered promiscuous mode Mar 9 15:22:03 Tower kernel: br0: port 2(vnet0) entered blocking state Mar 9 15:22:03 Tower kernel: br0: port 2(vnet0) entered forwarding state Mar 9 15:22:05 Tower kernel: vfio_ecap_init: 0000:04:00.0 hiding ecap 0x1e@0x258 Mar 9 15:22:05 Tower kernel: vfio_ecap_init: 0000:04:00.0 hiding ecap 0x19@0x900 Mar 9 15:22:05 Tower acpid: input device has been disconnected, fd 7 Mar 9 15:22:05 Tower acpid: input device has been disconnected, fd 8 Mar 9 15:22:11 Tower kernel: usb 1-7: reset full-speed USB device number 5 using xhci_hcd Mar 9 15:22:12 Tower kernel: usb 1-7: reset full-speed USB device number 5 using xhci_hcd Mar 9 15:22:12 Tower kernel: usb 1-13: reset full-speed USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd Mar 9 15:22:13 Tower kernel: usb 1-13: reset full-speed USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd Mar 9 15:22:14 Tower kernel: kvm: zapping shadow pages for mmio generation wraparound Mar 9 15:22:14 Tower kernel: kvm: zapping shadow pages for mmio generation wraparound Mar 9 15:22:37 Tower kernel: usb 1-13: reset full-speed USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd Mar 9 15:22:38 Tower kernel: usb 1-7: reset full-speed USB device number 5 using xhci_hcd Mar 9 15:22:38 Tower kernel: usb 1-13: reset full-speed USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd Mar 9 15:22:38 Tower kernel: usb 1-13: reset full-speed USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd Mar 9 15:22:39 Tower kernel: usb 1-13: reset full-speed USB device number 4 using xhci_hcd Mar 9 15:22:39 Tower kernel: usb 1-7: reset full-speed USB device number 5 using xhci_hcd Mar 9 15:22:39 Tower kernel: usb 1-7: reset full-speed USB device number 5 using xhci_hcd Mar 9 15:22:40 Tower kernel: usb 1-7: reset full-speed USB device number 5 using xhci_hcd Edited March 9, 20179 yr by steppi

March 9, 20179 yr I had all sorts of issues passing through individual usb devices (including a Logitech wireless usb keyboard/mouse). I ended up passing through an entire controller to the VM, and then everything plugged into that controller just worked. It's especially nice for usb keys. Just plug and unplug as usual. If that is not an option, there is a usb hotplug plugin on the forum that allows you to attach/detach usb devices to specific vms on the fly. It works quite well for many different usb devices. A bit more manual a process than passing through the whole controller, but might work in a pinch...

I installed and works well with other USB, but the keyboard does not work! Let me explain: it works, I attach a screenshot to make you understand that it is properly mounted and turn it on key lights! But Windows does not receive input from the keyboard. It will be a driver problem ?? The Reason That It could be the only keyboard of a unRaid system? The system would then 2 keyboards? 1) for a normal raid 2) for vms .. Unfortunately at the moment I have no other home keyboards to try .. Edited March 9, 20179 yr by steppi

Unfortunately at the moment I have no other home keyboards to try .. That's odd. I feel the basic functionality of the keyboard should just work, but if you haven't installed the setpoint software inside the VM, you might want to try that. If you passthrough the keyboard, and you also want to work on your unRaid system directly (not through a browser inside your VM), you'll need to add another keyboard (or detach the Logitech one), as once passedthrough, it will no longer be available to unRaid.

No, I do not need to -unraid- .. I manage everything from the web! But it is strange that you turn on the light of keys will not work though. From the Windows Device Manager is not recognized
March 9, 20179 yr try installing Setpoint drivers if you haven't yet... Maybe that'll do it... though you really shouldn't need to for basic keyboard functionality
March 9, 20179 yr Author I also just installed setpoint, but does not work It seems that Windows has recognized my keyboard, but no button seems to work

March 14, 20179 yr Author I tried with another keyboard and it works great. The problem seems to be that specific keyboard. However problem solved! thank you!
