Frozen out of GUI

Featured Replies

I am a trial user setting up my UNRAID 6.32 server for about 5 days now. Linux newb for the most part.

I have a 5 drive array right now, 1 parity, 2 data, 2 ssd cache.  I loaded up about 5 dockers and they seemed to be working great.  I downloaded the cache-dir plugin as recommended in the forums to help prevent spinup.  Cache-dir said to restart the array so it can cache the directories. That's where my current problem is.

The web-GUI is now stuck after I clicked Stop Array.  Even though I can't access the GUI my shares are still available on the network, so the array is still running.

I'd rather not do a hard reset on the server as I am 75% done pre-clearing a 6TB drive.

From what I have read in the forums the server is probably stuck on a docker.  Can I step over to the terminal and do anything from "Tower login:" to manually stop whatever processes are hanging up the gui?  If so, please be specific on the commands as I'm new to this.

Thank you for your time.

IIRC a preclear in progress would prevent the array from stopping. Not sure if this has changed on the later versions of it or not though....

The preclear should finish sometime in the middle of the night.

I'll just let it finish and see the server status in the morning.

Hopefully the GUI will start responding once the preclear is complete.

Thanks.

FYI:  I came back an hour and a half later and the GUI is working again and array was stopped as commanded.

I forgot to look at the log before I restarted the array, oops.

Thanks Squid for your input.
