March 13, 20179 yr I'm getting write errors on my parity Disk. Smart looked good. I changed the cable and rebooted. I tried to rebuild the disk, but got errors again. Attached the syslog and SMART report. What are my next steps, what could be wrong? WDC_WD40EFRX-68WT0N0_WD-WCC4E7TCDD5L-20170313-1227.txt syslog.txt

March 13, 20179 yr Community Expert Looks more like a cable problem, check/replace cables, you can also use a different SATA port if you want and try the parity sync again, if it still fails run an extended SMART test on that disk.
March 13, 20179 yr Author Thank you, I tried the extended SMART test after i posted and it stops and the disk is not visible anymore in Unraid. I wil try recplacing cables.
March 13, 20179 yr Author I put the disk in 5 different slots, It was either not visible on startup or not visible after a SMART short self-test. I used disk 1 one with the same cables and no problems. Any more ideas?
