How to give users access to web portal and ssh access

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm using tools like Arq Backup (Mac/Windows) and Duplicati to backup computer files to unRAID over SFTP. I'd rather not use the root log in/password.

Any ideas?

This was simple, as long as SSH is enabled (which I think it is by default), then you just scp stuff over to your cache drive (if you have one), or to another location of your choosing.

I thought there was an issue with SFTP only being accessible to the root user UNLESS one did a bunch of command line config file updates to allow other users to SSH.

I know that in my testing if I SSH or SFTP into my unRAID (v6.3.5) box with anything other than root the connection is immediately closed.
