March 17, 20179 yr I've been having a lot of issues lately with one of my two UnRAID servers (identical hardware wise) constantly freezing and becoming completely unresponsive (shares inaccessible as well as WebGui) until a reboot. It seems to be happening when the mover is in the middle of a very large file transfer from cache to the protected array (I have some Veeam backups as big as 250GB that backup to UnRAID). I can't confirm this for sure because the only way for me to gain access back to the WebGUI to pull diagnostics is to forcefully reboot the server. I can still access the server via SSH though so if someone has a recommendation to pull diagnostics from there please let me know. I use UnRAID strictly for bulk storage at this point. I use virtually no plugins and don't do Dockers or VMs. So, my question is would it be possible to reformat my flash drive with a brand new 6.3.2 install image, add my current drives to the array (with all the data on them) and do a new config or would the drives need to be cleared in order to accomplish what I'm trying to? I'm basically looking to start fresh with a brand new config and clean out any residual config settings but keep my data in tact. EDIT: I was finally able to pull diagnostics from the webgui even though my shares are still in accessible. My question still stands though as I'd love to start with a fresh config. spe-unraid-diagnostics-20170317-1027.zip Edited March 17, 20179 yr by IamSpartacus
March 17, 20179 yr Community Expert Did you try bare metal? Same issues? Edit: to answer your question you can re-format and do a new config, re-assign all disks and trust parity, doubt it will fix anything though. Edited March 17, 20179 yr by johnnie.black

I haven't tried but I doubt very much it's a virtualization issue. I have my HBA and USB flash drive passed through to the VM so as far as UnRAID is concerned all devices are "bare metal" if you will. I guess I can give that a shot though just to eliminate it as a possible cause.
