Problems with assigning Nvidia Quadro Card to Windows 10 VM

Featured Replies

Hi,

I just tried to set up a Windows 10 (64-bit) VM and wanted to use my Nvidia Quadro FX3500 as passedthrough graphics card. When I try to start the VM, I get the following Error:

internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: 2017-03-17T18:54:25.969079Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=07:00.0,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.0,addr=0x5: vfio: failed to set iommu for container: Operation not permitted

The Graphics Card is showing up correctly.

Hardware:

Dell PowerEdge R710 Server

32GB RAM

2x Intel Xeon X5650

Nvidia Quadro FX3500

(Some other unimportant Stuff)

Starting the VM via VNC works fine.

Thanks
