What is Unraid doing?

Hi

I have been trying to get my Unraid 6.3 to copy big files without doing something strange.

It starts to copying the 18GB files - I think it is the System Cache (My unraid has 64GB memory) that is receiving the data. Later on the cache is full and the system flushes to data to my SSD-Cache disk. And the copying process stops sending data to the share. Look at the youtube video - it happens 0:42min into the video. What is Unraid doing? This goes on until the copy has ended (pretty slow)

Your problem may be related to the min free space setting.

I had a similar problem.

See if it applies to your case also.

Hi....@fireball3

Thx for the reply, found out what was wrong. It has something todo about the AFP protocol. If I change to SMB the problem disappear, tried NFS as well - found out that it was faster than AFP and SMB. So i am gonna stick with the NFS protocol.
