Feeling Thick VM I.P how to change?

Featured Replies

Hi all

well day two of Unraid and i feel im goi g to be buyinga licence or two (home use) and moving away from existing server to one main does it all.

my question is i have a win 10 vm however its i.p is 192.168.122.10 but my home network default gateway is 192.168.1.1 how do i change the vm to use .1.what ever from the .122?

I have manually changed it on the cars setting but get no internet connection or anything. The actual server and unraid get a .1.** address but the vm is not. I have tried google and searching here but feel im missing somthing mightly simple and going to look a fool when some one points out the obvious but thanks in advance for pointing it out.

I only have one network card in the machine just to add so need to share the one network card.

First check that bridging is enable: Settings -> Network Settings -> Enable Bridging

Then edit your VM template and change Network Bridge to br0.

Are you sure? This only happens if virbr0 is selected as network bridge.

You need to enable Advanced view on the VM editor, only then there will be an option to change the network bridge.
