March 25, 20179 yr I've been using unraid for awhile and have no idea why this is all of a sudden an issue, so I'm hoping I just missed something. I've got a bunch of user shares and they are running out of space, which is fine I'll bring some drives out of cold storage. When I add new drives the additional space is show under total array capacity, however they are not being included in the shares available space. Ok, perhaps the drives just aren't being included, however all the shares are set to "ALL disks" and the include and exclude option do not show any of the new disks (Disk 1, 8, 9). Any Ideas? I've rebooted multiple times, disabled drives, re added drives, reformatted, pre cleared, added new shares, tried other disks and I've gotten no where. The odd thing is the new drives are being shown as disk shares but the old drives are not.
March 25, 20179 yr Community Expert Global Share Settings controls which disks are available for user shares. Did you intentionally share disk1,8,9? If not then they were probably shared because they are excluded from user shares in Global Share Settings. I recommend not sharing any disks and just using user shares. You can lose data if you mix disks and user shares when moving/copying data.
March 25, 20179 yr Author AH! That was it, I totally forgot about the global share settings panel! Thank you!
