So the post below states phone home will be removed, but I've just moved unraid to be my primary OS, but I can't start the array to start pfSense VM to get internet.

 

I'm on a trial still until I get my v5 key switched out. I'd like to get up and running without having to wait for the key file to be sorted, is there a build without this for trial keys?

 

I assume this confirmation was for something else??

 

You need to have a working internet connection for contacting the key server when running a trial key (I do not believe there is any way to bypass this requirement).   You do not need such a connection if running a full paid-for license.  

 

The comment you posted applied to certain beta releases where a working internet connection was required even for full licenses.
