March 30, 20179 yr After enabling AD integration under the SMB settings the Web UI is reduced t a crawl. It literally takes minutes to change pages. As soon as the SMB setting is put back to Workgroup, everything returns to normal.
March 30, 20179 yr Please see Need help? Read me first!, and attach the diagnostics zip. To see what's happening then, make sure the diagnostics covers enabling AD, trying a few things, and returning to no AD.
March 30, 20179 yr Author Here is the diagnostics, if there are timestamps, the test with enabling AD was done between 12:30am and 1:30am. tower-diagnostics-20170330-1038.zip I would also like to note that I had to do a full restart of unraid for the SMB shares to work normally after going back to SMB (Workgroup) as it was prompting for a password. March 30, 20179 yr It will need Tom ( @limetech ) or other AD experienced people to see (I'm not one of them). First try was at 7:01, unsuccessful, and all attempts for awhile returned "exit status: 1". Finally at 01:20:09, there was progress, although still with errors. Once you tried to turn off AD, something was wrong with avahidaemon, which is why you had to reboot.
