[6.x] shfs_rmdir tries to delete non-empty folders

Featured Replies

Hey all,

this is a follow up of my old Thread: http://lime-technology.com/oldforum/index.php?topic=54355.0

I was able to track down the Problem to some Apple-specific xattrs saved by Pages, Sync is unable to store them in the Filesystem and creates these helperfiles.

For Reference: https://help.getsync.com/hc/en-us/articles/204754729-Alt-Streams-and-Xattrs-in-Sync

the content of one of these Folders doesnt look very specific, so why does unRAID keep trying to delete them?

Quote

root@unRAID:~# ls -la /mnt/disk1/…/.sync/Streams/D5
total 4
drwxrwxrwx 2 nobody users 62 Mar 24 13:25 ./
drwxrwxrwx 6 nobody users 66 Mar 24 13:25 ../
-rw-rw-rw- 1 nobody users 42 Nov 14 21:50 D5686213105E45C2EC3CCE6393372505F2ADA907

Full diagnostics are attached to the old Thread.

Found this Topic at getsync.com where someone had the same problem - but they told them unRaid should support xattrs since v5.0b10?!

https://forum.resilio.com/topic/30652-trying-to-sync-itunes-files-and-getting-errors-in-comapplefinderinfo/#comment-86863

also I've looked if the errormessage he has are present in my logs - they are:

Mar 29 09:34:59 unRAID shfs/user: err: shfs_setxattr: lsetxattr: com.apple.metadata:_kMDItemUserTags /mnt/cache/…/AFile.pages (95) Operation not supported

so… is this a Bug in Sync or shfs/unRAID? Is there anything @limetech can/should do?
