Thanks for posting but seems pricey. $36/T compared to $25/T for 8T archive drives. But depending on the use case, those 10T might make sense.

I would agree but might pick one up for a parity drive.

I had just purchased 6 of the 8TB archive models. Newegg had a sale on the external ones with additional 10 dollars off, bring the price to 189 per enclosure. Cheap storage. Ya I voided warranty with pulling the drives out but with the price difference between the external and a bare bones drive of up to 50 dollars. I thought I take the risk.

I harvested mine also. Work perfectly. The retail packaging and external case are great protection for shipping! ;)

 

If you see the archive drives under $199 again, please post!
