So I was organizing cables and doing a few other things with my server.  I booted back up and one of the drives was disabled, showing a couple hundred errors.   To me, it seems quite likely that it was just a cable not fully inserted, or perhaps I damaged one while messing with the case.   Either way, I plugged the drive into a totally different cable and would like to test and then reintegrate the drive back into my array.    Problem is that I have no idea how to do so.

At least check the SMART status before doing that to make sure it's OK, if yes:

 

Stop the array, unassign that disk, start the array, stop the array, re-assign disk, start array to begin rebuild.

Wow, I actually looked through the FAQ and didn't see that.  I then looked again, after you told me it was there, and still didn't see it.  I'm apparently having trouble reading today.
