Bug free way to Move from Disk1\Share\Subfolder to Disk4\Share\Subfolder?

Featured Replies

Good day fellow unraiders.

I let my server fill up to 95%/disk and would like to move my most frequented share\subfolder from my 3 spanned 5400 RPM seagate drives to my shiny new 7200 RPM hgst drive (disk4).

Disk4 has been added to the array and formatted - it contains no data or folders yet.

Is the 'correct' way to move still:

Install Nerd Tools

Enable Screen

SSH into the server

Launch Screen

Launch Midnight Commander (MC)

Left screen:  /mnt/disk1/Media/Movies/Children

Right screen: /mnt/disk4/Media/Movies/Children

Repeat MC for disk2 and disk3.

Thanks!
