April 3, 20179 yr Hello! Currently I have issues with not spinning down drives. I assume this is connected to the fact, that I use a regular share for the apps folder. I would like to move this share to a flash drive, which neither part of the array nor the boot drive. Just another USB 3.0 flash, which I would leave in the Tower. What do I need to do reagarding scripts and unassigned devices and how do I move the share correcty?
April 3, 20179 yr Community Expert Not sure that is a good idea as the apps folder can be high traffic. Normal approach is to have the app folder on the cache drive. This is not part of the main array.
April 3, 20179 yr Author I don't have a cache drive - but I assume an USB 3.0 flash can handle anything a mechinacal drive can.
