I'm contemplating dual parity in my unRAID array. 

Can someone explain to me what the benefits of dual parity drives are, beside the fact that you can have 2 failed drives?

    That is really the only benefit.

     

    the time it becomes most relevant is to keep you protected while recovering a failed drive.
