Migrate trial to new USB key?

Featured Replies

I have about a week and a half left on my trial but i have bought a new USB key to replace the one I'm using at the moment which loses connection if touched.

If i copy the contents of my current one to the new key, will the trial key license file work or will i have issues getting it to pick up the remaining days?

Right, you cannot transfer an existing Trial config to a different USB flash device.  If you copy everything from your current USB flash to a new USB flash device, and then install a Basic/Plus/Pro key, your configuration will be retained.

You installed the key?  It should appear on usb flash in 'config' directory.  What does it say on the Registration page?

It just shows my registration information and that I'm successfully registered, the trial.key and basic.key are both in the config folder. I have deleted the trial.key now but do I need to restart the array?

Yes you should Stop array and then Start again.  I think it says to do that in the Install Key dialog box.
