Can't see Files when FTP

Featured Replies

I tried you suggestion: [red]echp[/red] "anon_unmask".....

The command is echo. If you Copy/Paste the line verbatim, it will work.

Thanks for your advice

@Purko,

Sorry that was typo on my part, I did type in echo, actually copied it letter by letter based on your instructions.

However after I did that go the error mentioned.

I was going through the files on my flash drive and i dont have a vftpd.conf

Thanks!

I was going through the files on my flash drive and i dont have a vftpd.conf

Thanks!

The file created by the command

echo "anon_umask=0022" >> /etc/vsftpd.conf

is in /etc, not on the flash drive.

The /etc folder is in RAM and is completely re-created every time you reboot.

You would need to re-run that command after every reboot to re-create the file.

Gotcha.

Ok I got the smb-extra.conf to work, thanks for pointing me in the right direction to get to the correct directory.

Ok now I have another issue. Executed this command again

echo "anon_umask=0022" >> /etc/vsftpd.conf

rebooted and now I can't FTP to the server anymore. No error nothing, just says cannot connect to server.

Prior to running that command it worked fine. I'm using Filezilla and entering in my IP address.

Please help, and once again thank you.

Cheers

Ooops, my bad.

Looks like my router reassigned the ip address internally.

Everything is working like a well oiled super model now.

Thanks again for everyone with the help.

Unraid is uber cool.

Next step, CVS style file check in check out system.....

Chao!
