April 8, 20179 yr So I was running preclear on a new external 8tb WD drive and at 69% read after it zeroed the drive it stopped and is showing the drive went into standby mode. My question is, in the preclear Plugin downloaded from the apps has an option called "Verify All Disk", will this do the equivelent of the post read after the drive was zeroed? If this runs successfully would it be safe to say the drive is good to go or is there something else I should be checking? I REALLY don't want to have to do a full preclear on the drive again
April 8, 20179 yr I have been trying to pre clear a drive and it just quits at different random times. If it is still running look at your CPU on the Dashboard TAB and see if it is pinned at 100%.
April 8, 20179 yr Author So the "Verify All Disk" is now at 92%, so fingers crossed it will complete without errors. Is this equivalent to the post read after writing zeros to the drive?
