April 8, 20179 yr Hi Guys, I have two older Unraid Machines - modeled after the super old machines that Lime used to sell... One is running on a Supermicro 2SEA motherboard, the other on a Supermicro 2SEE (a later revision, I think). They're Celeron or Core 2 Duo processors (I'm not sure), 4GB of RAM... not powerful, but they do what I need. Here's the motherboard specs: http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Core/G45/C2SEA.cfm I'm running up to 4TB drives. I need a new SATA controller. I've seen that lots are running the IBM M1015 Controller. Will that work for me? What is suggested? (and what will I need to do, if it's not ready to run right out of the box?) Thanks, Russell Edited April 8, 20179 yr by RussellinSacto
April 8, 20179 yr Assuming the x16 slot is still available, yep the M1015 from eBay is a good bet. It will need to be flashed to IT mode, look in the HD and controllers forum for the sticky.
