I need to capture the console output from the screen when unraid crashes as the plugin 'fix common problems" doesn't seem to manage it, I can set up a webcam with a windows pc and have it continually record the screen in the hopes of catching the kernel panic when it happens.

 

Which software could I use to do this? Preferably free, or a 30 day trial.

Try xsplit and see if it'll save to a local file. If not, try broadcasting to a private YouTube event.
