SMB / Linux permissions

Featured Replies

I am using a private SMB share from my desktop (account peter / users) which forces my other shares on that system to that user account. So i am using other shares not as nobody / users but as peter / users.

The problem i am dealing with is that most server application like SABnzbd or Deluge use nobody / users for created files which do not have the writable flag set for groups or all. Now i can configure sabnzbd to CHMOD 777 on created files but i can not do that in Deluge.

Do I need to configure this differently or is there some other solution to this little problem.

I use Transmission instead of Deluge. Transmission has a setting in a configuration file for this so probably Deluge does to. You might try searching the support thread or the Deluge website.
