April 11, 20179 yr I have tried to use BTSync a while, but this's just simple sync function for image / document. I'm finding a docker / features which backup&upload any folder/files in android (and/or iphone) to the server. The folder/files can anything including whatapps folder, apps folder.
April 11, 20179 yr FoldersyncIt's an app for Android, not a docker but I think you'll find it will do what you want. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
April 12, 20179 yr Author This apps I used before, but I am not sure whether using native unsecure FTP function in unRaid....
April 12, 20179 yr Depends what you want really. I just use SMB on LAN nightly to backup. But you have other options if you want to backup outside your LAN. 1)vpn on your phone. Not that I would do this 2)set up next cloud on unraid and folder sync with that 3)could sync to the cloud (Dropbox,Google, Amazon) then sync that to unraid via the plugin/dockers on unraid. I think this is one solution for my case (android user). Any choice for iPhone users to achieve this purpose (backup and sync any file from the mobile)?
April 13, 20179 yr Not familiar with syncthing but just be aware of the difference of sync vs backup. I know btsync and a few others I looked at are designed to keep things in sync not necessarily good being used for backing up. Example if you delete something from your phone it will delete it from unraid if syncing. Everyone has their own use case so just a heads up. Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk

Another option is enable ftp on unraid and use foldersync on android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dk.tacit.android.foldersync.fullSent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
