Running Unraid 6.3.3 and need to upgrade a 4TB WD Red with a new 6TB Ironwolf. I have several 6TB Ironwolfs in the array already. The issue is that this drive doesn't appear in unassigned devices so I can't do anything with it. My MACBook Pro and Windows 10 boxes see it fine. The controller and cable are good because it sees my 4TB in Unraid fine. 

 

I must be missing something but this isn't my first rodeo. I just can't seem to figure out why this drive is invisible. 

 

Any thoughts, suggestion, comments?

Disk is not being detected by Linux, in what controller is it?

 

You're using port multipliers with Asmedia controllers, these are know to have possible issues with Linux, if new disk is using a PM connect to another controller, swap with another disk if needed.

Yes that was the issue. This disk wasn't on a PM but the controller didn't like this particular drive for some reason. I moved things around and got it going. Thanks.
