April 13, 20179 yr Hi! I'm going to try later Unraid this weekend. Should I go with XFS or BTRFS for my array? I've recently had done experience with BTRFS using Rockstor but that wasn't able to put a single drive off an array to sleep and only wake up the drive reading from. I've read that this is a BTRFS problem. So how about unraid? Thx! b0mb Gesendet von meinem Redmi Note 3 mit Tapatalk
April 13, 20179 yr Spin down it's not a factor as it works for both, xfs is usually preferred by most users since it's more stable, btrfs has nicer features like cheksums and snapshots, but it's more likely to have issues that can result in data loss if you don't have good backups.
April 13, 20179 yr Author My data it's anything else than sensitive so no problem with possible corruption. And you can say 100% that spinning up and down of single drives in an BTRFS formatted array will work? I like the filesystem. Gesendet von meinem Redmi Note 3 mit Tapatalk
