Jawswing
Got in from work last night to find my final 3TB drive had red balled on me. Sort of stuck with this one at the moment, in the process of upgrading. Bought a new case, the SAS on my motherboard had died on me (this drive is connected to either the onboard sata or the PCi SAS I'd bought). With two bank holidays coming up, today the weekend and bank holiday Monday in the UK, I was planning on sending my motherboard off for an RMA Tuesday next week. Is there a way to rewrite data from the last drive to the array? Or will I need to buy a replacement? It's just if I do get a replacement it's going to delay everything, earliest I could get one is Wednesday probably, then I have to rebuild. Won't be until Thursday/Friday I can then send the board off for an RMA. tower-diagnostics-20170414-1412.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Looks like a disk problem, but since it dropped offline there's no SMART report, reboot/power cycle and grab new diags. Quote Link to comment
Jawswing
Attatched diagnostics before and after starting the array. tower-diagnostics-20170414-1556.zip tower-diagnostics-20170414-1558.zip Quote Link to comment

Forgot to add that if you want to remove that disk you can move everything from the emulated disk to other array disk(s), then do a new config without that disk. 1 Quote Link to comment
Jawswing
Would I have to do that manually? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Manually or with the unBalance plugin: Quote Link to comment
