[SOLVED] Can't Connect to SSH outside Built-In Terminal

Featured Replies

I'm not sure when the problem started, but I can no longer connect via SSH - i've tried putty and winSCP with no luck.  I've recently installed pfSense but port 22 is open as I can connect to other devices ok e.g. my Unifi APs.

Strangely I can use command line within UnRaID GUI....

Help please.

Are you SSH'ing to the hostname or IP?

Is port 22 listening on unraid?

root@unraid:/# netstat -an | grep 22
tcp        0      0 192.168.122.1:53        0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN
tcp        0      0 0.0.0.0:22              0.0.0.0:*               LISTEN

Have you appled a rule on pfSense allowing SSH from your local network as the source destined to the unraid NIC IP?

Any logs available from pfSense to monitor allowed and denied connectivity to unraid?

I just tried

netstat -tuplen

and port 22 wasn't on the list.  I also ran nmap on a laptop and port 22 wasn't listed.  How do I open on unraid?

Try looking in the flash drive /config/ssh/ your keys may have got corrupted. Delete them and reboot, they'll be recreated at reboot.

On Putty go to Window -> Translation and choose UTF-8 as Remote character set.
