Hi Guys. I have made a video about setting up and configuring Duplicati on unRAID for cloud and network backups.

  • Same problem here. Temporary solution that I came up with is to edit the docker settings and change repository to an older version: "linuxserver/duplicati:v2.0.4.23-2.0.4.23_beta_2019-07-14-ls27"

  • Not sure if this is the issue you're having but it has to do with existing session data at least in the x64 version of Duplicati.   When in the web UI, for Chrome, right click "inspect" go t

Hi,

i have several (a lot of) files with 1.5GB  they are  on my cache drive and they taking more than 300G of my 500G cache.

Has someone any idea whats going wrong here ? Thanks.

Updated this last night and now it doesn't seem to be starting up (or at least I can't tell as I can't get to it). I start it from the unRAID docker page and it shows running, but I just get a HTTP ERROR 400 page when trying to access the web GUI. The docker logs don't show any errors though.

update

What is the common speed for a single backup via sFTP?

I always get 10 MB/S when doing that regardless of it is compressed or not.

Is that a common speed?

Thank you.

I had the same behavior. Updated yesterday(?) to latest (2.0.7 from two days ago) and could not connect to the GUI today. Did not check it yesterday.

But it did not work neither with Fire Fox, nor Edge.
Went back to 2.0.6 now and it is working again.

Log looked exactly the same. Will try again with 2.0.8 I suppose.

/edit

Due to the update from 2.0.6->2.0.7 it seems the underlying DB got updated -> reverting to 2.0.6 fixed the GUI, but the old version can't run backups with the new DB version already in place.

As mentioned in the initial post: the message looks exactly the same:

Hey there,

I've got a problem with my duplicati configuration.

Since I've changed my cache pool to ZFS duplicati can't backup the folders which are stored on chache. In the backup configuration window it looks like this:

image.png.026473d013465964219c190afd338163.png

The folders in the red box are not shown as folders and the backups can't run.

Any ideas?

Hello,

I have a similar problem although I don't use ZFS. All my shares use XFS.

As far as I can tell I think that all the shares that use the old "cache only" can't see any subfolders.

For information I'm using the new 6.12 feature "exclusive shares" for my appdata share and domain for my VM.

My appdata is set as /mnt/user/appdata/

The others shares using the cache as primary storage and with the secondary's one as array can dispaly the subfolder.

image.png.63dfd064f6115ff3eb449407f9b810fc.png

As you can see I was once able to see these subfolder and my backup routine was running fine although I have set it long time ago (unraid 6.9)

Now my backup are broken as I have this error :

System.IO.IOException: Backup aborted since the source path /source/appdata/Plex-Media-Server/ does not exist. Please verify that the source path exists, or remove the source path from the backup configuration, or set the allow-missing-source option.

Any guess ?

Hi everyone,

Trying to backup my Unraid Shares to a Synology NAS with Duplicati. Synology is mounted via Unassigned devices with NFS. Backup job is nothing fancy just around 800GB of data encrypted in 50MB blocks and everything else default settings. Backup job is running fine but I always get the following warning at the end.

"2021-02-26 09:31:01 +01 - [Warning-Duplicati.Library.Main.Operation.FilelistProcessor-MissingRemoteHash]: remote file duplicati-b6ee2e638e03448d7b58103e0aa972613.dblock.zip.aes is listed as Verified with size 0 but should be 52418413, please verify the sha256 hash \"klbMHsDiDi6MtRgEH2PJRdSASOb8xs8xBLFN5DXXWqw=\"

I have found a lot of stuff regarding this in various forums but nothing helped so far. Did someone else encountered this kind of warning and found a (easy) solution to this?

Additional can someone tell me how to run list-broken-files (duplicati commandline) in the Duplicati docker container?

Looking forward to any reply. Many thanks in advance and have a great day.

BR

Marc

For anyone that has this issue, you run command line (commandline for search on here) via the GUI. Open duplicati then go to your backup. Where you see the normal options for verify database etc, there will be a command line option then you can select it from the options such as list-broken-files or purge-broken-files.

When doing a cp from the docker console from /source to /backups it works - so no permissions problem.

What could be the problem?

Hi,

started duplicati today and now i need to enter a password to connect again. I never set a password or something. It worked for years without. Is ther posibillity to remove that without deleting an reinstaling everything?

Try "changeme"

Or add variable key DUPLICATI__WEBSERVICE_PASSWORD to template and try setting your wanted password there.

The last 2.1. update seems to have change quite a bit for as well. The command line tool I've used (https://github.com/Pectojin/duplicati-client) to run and monitor backups doesn't seem to work anymore. The release notes mention a new "Duplicati.CommandLine.ServerUtil.exe/duplicati-server-util." tool that should now be included but I could find a way to find or start it within the container. Maybe that a problem of the linuxserver container which doesn't include that tool?

Downgrading to 2.0.8 was possible but I had to use the automatically created backup of the old Duplicati-server.sqlite file in the mounted config folder to get the container running again.

You have /app/duplicati/duplicati-server-util in the container

Found the Solution.

You need to go to the Log of the docker and there is a link where you can set the PW.

I have it there

root@duplicati:/app/duplicati# /app/duplicati/duplicati-server-util
Required command was not provided.

Description:
  Server CLI tool for Duplicati

Usage:
  Duplicati.CommandLine.ServerUtil [command] [options]

or from Unraid shell, something like:

docker exec -it duplicati sh -c "/app/duplicati/duplicati-server-util"

This is the linuxserver container and :latest.

Ok, using the full path with /app/duplicati/duplicati-server-util seems to work although I was already in the same directory.

./duplicati-server-util if in the same dir.

Just installed duplicati and during the first backup, it filled up my array drive. TLDR, it appears to be writing data to the system share, even though nothing is mapped to that folder within the config. To clarify, the backup and source folders are not on the array; only the appdata/duplicati folder is. I'm guessing it's doing some type of a temp folder into system before copying the data over to the backup folder I've specified. anyone else seeing this, and what was the fix?

I am using Unraid wth Duplicati and when I went to the GUI for Duplicati I got these.

I have read all the related posts on this issue and I cannot get anything to work to give me access.

If I remember right, you have to check the container logs for either the initial password or a temporary login url. As soon as you're in you have to set an individual password.
