Tower.local not reachable after reboot Macbook

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Iam a fairly new Unraid user so my knowlegde is slim. I tried a search but can't find anything related to my problem. My problem is;

When i install unraid and connect for the first time to tower.local, no problem i can do everything ( making shares, install dockers) , as soon i reboot my macbook pro and trying to reconnect to my server(tower.local) nothing, can't get into it from macbook. What is wrong ? Why won't it reconnect again.

This sounds like a Local Master issue  Have a look at this post and the third one after it.

  Also be sure that your unRAID server is setup to become the Local Master.  This setting is found by 'Settings'  >>>   'SMB'   >>>   'Workgroup Settings'  and set Local master browser:  to "yes".

IF you have set your server to use a fixed IP address (or know the IP address), you can also access your server by using that.  Example:    "     http://192.168.1.242/        "  for your browser.

For file access, in whatever program Mac uses for that try:      \192.168.1.242

Thanks Frank, i am going to try this solution. So basically if i decide to dicht smb and move to nfs, this whole issue is over.
