April 15, 20179 yr Hi Guys, This just happened to me twice, with two separate drives. I was running preclear when my Tower went down ungracefully, due to a power loss. On reboot, the newly added drive that I was in the process of preclearing is no longer visible in Unassigned Devices... Totally stumped... diagnostics attached Any help would be really appreciated tower-diagnostics-20170415-1832.zip
April 16, 20179 yr No extra disks are being detected by Linux, not an unRAID issue, powerdown, recheck cables or connect the disk on a different controller, if available check if the disk is detected by the controller bios at boot up, if it doesn't show up there it won't show up in unRAID.

But if the drives work and show up, until they ate touched by preclear... that doesn't sound normalSent from my HTC6535LVW using Tapatalk
April 16, 20179 yr Preclear won't make a drive disappear, whatever the problem is it's hardware related, you have to rule out all the possible reasons, you can start by checking if the disk works on another PC.
