I installed Zoneminder but when I access the webui I just get a Zoneminder Privacy Statement anybody where do I go from here

Hi, i am interested in zoneminder (currently on frigate but having a lot of stability problems). Does zoneminder support coral TPU? I saw some posts about it in this thread, but the latest is from 2021.

 

asking since i don't have a gpu in my server, only an intel iGPU.

I've just released a new version of Zoneminder. The docker build has been redone to be more up to the current build methodology of dockers. The original build script was done a long time ago and needed updating.

The most notable change in this release is the ability to use Intel hardware acceleration. The first post descrides how to enable the Intel hardware acceleration in Zoneminder.

Another release today. I haven't used the zmeventnotification for a long time, and it seems several ZM changes broke the pushover api. I've fixed that now and added a sound configuration to the zmeventnotification.ini so you can set the sound notification for all pushover events, or per monitor pushover events. Note that the credentials for pushover are different in the secrets.ini file.

upgraded foolishly last night, and mariadb seems to have exploded into bits. Any chance of recovery? or should I just start from scratch?

Try a forced update. If that doesn't work, recover from a backup and re-start Zoneminder.

already tried, and attempted some mariadb recovery. fresh start it is. thanks.

@dlandon Same question from me as well - does ZM support Coral TPU? I'm running Frigate and not very pleased with it.

I don't know. Try the Zoneminder support forum. It works with Intel and Nvidia graphics cards.

Unable to register on their forums, keep getting some error after entering in all the info (email. password etc).

Does ZM support integration with a local CodeProject.AI install? Can't find anything about it in the docs site.

Tailscale support added

The ZoneMinder container now supports Tailscale for secure remote access without requiring public DNS, router port forwarding, a static public IP address, or a publicly managed SSL certificate.

I have tested the following through Tailscale:

• ZoneMinder browser access

• ZoneMinder API access

• zmNinjaNG access

• Tailscale-managed HTTPS certificates

ZoneMinder uses an internally generated self-signed certificate, so the Tailscale Serve Target must be set to:

https+insecure://localhost

This allows Tailscale Serve to connect to ZoneMinder internally while presenting a trusted Tailscale certificate to clients.

Complete setup and testing instructions have been added to the first post in this thread.

The Event Server was having issues on the initial Tailscale implementation release connecting to the Event Server port 9000. Today's release fixes the Event Server notifications in ZmNinjaNg.

I’ve rebuilt the ZoneMinder container on Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy and included the PHP security fix. PHP 7.4 remains in this build; the move to PHP 8 will be evaluated separately.

The build now checks that both php7.4-fpm and libapache2-mod-php7.4 are version 1:7.4.33-31 or newer.

After updating the container, you can verify the installed versions with:

docker exec Zoneminder dpkg-query -W -f='${Package} ${Version}\n' php7.4-fpm libapache2-mod-php7.4
