dlandon, thank you for this docker. Anyway, since updating to 8.2 my logitech squeezebox does not working anymore  in that i experience connection problems and snyc problems with my music. How can I downgrade to the previous version?  I miss my music.

well, i figured it out. i went into console, installed the wget package and installed the LMS 8.1 from the website.  stopped/start the container and it downgraded. its seems to be working now.  gonna go on the LMS forums and see what is going on. my logs were filled with cannot find mysqeeuzebox.com errors.

 

 

 

Hi I am new to Unraid and I am trying to setup LMS to play WMA files. 

 

I am using the Play Windows Media plugin which requires ffmpeg. 

 

The issue I have is that it cannot find ffmpeg.  I did install ffmpeg and have a link to it in /usr/bin.  If I try to run it from the console it works.  But LMS cannot find it.

I also tried to install the node-ffmpeg-mpegts-proxy docker but that did not help.

LMS plays wma files natively.  You don't need the plugin.

Not sure what's going on, but it works for me.  I just map my music library to LMS and it plays the wma files fine.  Are your wma files lossless?

no they are not lossless.

I don't think so.  My server is currently running windows and I have been using LMS on there for 10+ years without a problem.  I am trying to get rid of my Windows Server and move to unraid.  So this is my first attempt to try getting LMS running on unraid.

So your DRM files are probably authorized for playing on that system.

I honestly do not think it is DRM.  I can play these files from other windows or linux PCs.

Can this be used with a custom bridge interface (own DHCP IP) ? None of the IP:Port combinations give me the web UI. Log shows this repeating:

You can click on the Docker Container icon and select 'WebUI'.  This will take you to the LMS web UI.

 

The WebUI is at ip:9000.

Thanks - my mistake, I had an IP conflict. br0 does not know how to draw from the existing DHCP pool or something.

I've released a new version with the ffmpeg package installed so players that don't play wma natively can play wma files.

How do I update LMS? V8.1 was installed with the docker package but it keeps telling me 8.3 is available. No clue how to download/install.

The docker container will have to be updated.

 The container was already on 8.3.  I just updated it to the latest nightly build that appears to be the 8.3 final release.

You should turn on CA docker update checks and keep them updated.  I switched to 8.3 some time ago.

Hi,

been running the docker since yesterday and had to restart it today. During restart it updated some packages, failed at that (& told me via logs to run dpkg --configure -a). But due to the script failing it immediately and repeatedly shut down. No chance to fix it.

Could you change the script so it doesn't automatically shutdown on failure?

This has some pretty severe memory leak issues. Even when running unused from startup, after not very long (several days to a week) it goes from 190MB memory usage up to over 2GB.

Where are you seeing that?  I've never seen an issue with memory leaks.
