Web Login

Greetings Forum!

So I have my unraid server up and I love it. I love the fact that with my R710 with 1 drive parity and 5 drives storage its reading at almost 9.99 TB. Which is AWESOME. I love it so much that I am thinking of virtualizing 5 servers at work and putting it on one server as VMs.

I know I can log in using the web interface by typing in the IP address and logging in. Which is a great way to access the server. But this is for work so being able to access the server interface is a security risk. I dont want people to be able to type in 192.168.x.x and see the login screen for the unraid server.

Which leads to two questions.

One. IS there a way to disable web login so that the only way to login is direct interface?

And Two. I know there is a way to add a hard drive to vms. But is there a way to expand an existing drive like what VMware or HyperV does?

Thanks in advance :)

No.  But, you should have a root password set in a circumstance like that, and only access the GUI via your own user on the workstation(s).  Incidentally, a feature req is in for a logout feature

With the VM stopped, click on the name of the VM from the VM tab.  Then click on where it gives you the size of the vdisk.  You can then change the size...

I have a root password I was just wondering if there was a way to disable web login entirely. I guess I got to make one of those 32 character passwords that nobody will ever figure out.

Besides web access there is also SSH and telnet access to the system, these are protected by the same password, though it is possible to disable these services (not recommended).
