So I am using a generic USB stick that I am wanting to replace with a good quality Sandisk.  Currently I am in trial.  What would be the best way to move to another USB stick?  I will be buying a license here in a couple of days.  Should I buy a license first and then move everything over to the new stick?

No. Set up and register a new trial install on your permanent USB, and copy everything over from your current USB except for the key file. Then purchase your license after you are sure everything is working properly with the USB.

 

What you propose will work, but you will be using up your once a year USB transfer privilege. If your new stick were to fail before a year had passed, you would have to email limetech and explain the situation instead of doing an automatic transfer.
