I am building a new server based on the  BIOSTAR TA785G3HD mother board. My current array has 4 SATA drives and 3 IDE drives, I don't think this MB has and IDE support so I need to do some work before changing the drives over. I have some space left on the 4 SATA drives to get about 1/2 of the info from the IDE drives on, the rest I am going to have to move off to another computer or portable drive.

 

I know what I have to do and to remove the 3 IDE drives and restor the array. Question is I know that you can move files from drive to drive in a Telnet session but I don't know what all the fancy short hand code is to do, so could some one help me out with that? I assume that moving the files that way would be faster then doing it from a PC.
