Device ID vs Disk Number - Always the same?

Featured Replies

I have a disk that needs to be maintained.  However, the reference is md8.  I'm pretty sure that's Disk 8 in my array based on what I get back from mount:

root@HunterNAS:/mnt# mount | column -t
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw)
tmpfs on /var/log type tmpfs (rw,size=128m,mode=0755,size=128m)
/dev/sda1 on /boot type vfat (rw,noatime,nodiratime,umask=0,shortname=mixed)
/mnt on /mnt type none (rw,bind)

/mnt/cache/docker.img on /var/lib/docker type btrfs (rw)

Here's the error.  Am I translating correctly?  Is the Disk number and the MD# ALWAYS the same?
