I've been trying to automate couple of workflows by transferring massive files to unraid, and then a VM would pick it up for a process.

The issue I've been seeing is that whenever I transfer massive files from my physical windows PC to unraid share, it seems to be clugging the entire Unraid system, VMs pause, plex becomes unusable, main page would take couple minutes to load, etc...

Anyone else experienced the issue? Can you give me a recommendation as to how to fix it?

Are you caching your writes? Using turbo write? Suggest posting diagnostics file (tools -> diagnostics).

Typically is:

 

Your cache drive fills up. Your vm's then pause since they have no room. 

 

Get a bigger cache drive or move your vm's off the cache drive.

 

You probably need to also look at core isolation.

 

 

And post diagnostics.
