How can they be quiet when the power supply is like a long strip right form factor? I though there is only room for one of those very small fans so it has to spin superfast in order to make up for being so small and get the same air flow as a larger fan.

 

Is the fan still small but they use some kind of different bearing to make it spin fast and still be quiet?

Bearing noise is pretty much non-existent. The issue is the blade tip speed and wing design.

The SQ PSU is also more efficient. With the normal PSU's these come with, the fan is always on, but not with the SQ. The power draw at idle is also less.
